   Aqua Aerobics - Starting June 25th and July 5th


AQUA AEROBICS

Be a part of a program that has proven benefits for the individual with MS!




Two (2) classes per week for the individual with MS
At Baptist East/Milestone Wellness Center
750 Cypress Drive, Louisville, Ky 40207

(1) Starting Wednesday, June 25, 2008**, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and every Wednesday thereafter until Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

(2) Starting Saturday, July 5, 2008**, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and every Saturday thereafter until Saturday, August 30, 2008.

(**There will be no classes the week of July 14 through July 20, 2008)


Free of charge to those patients with MS. This class is limited to 25 individuals.

If you require assistance we strongly suggest that you bring an
“aqua buddy” as there will be no assistance available.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Swimsuit or Swim Trunks
  • A commitment to complete the program

    Instructor
    Dody CarlisleDody Carlisle has been teaching water aerobics for 18 years. She is certified through the Aquatic Exercise Association, Hydrofit Passport, Arthritis Foundation, MS Society, Swimlites Aquafitness and Prenatal/Postnatal. She teaches approximately 35 classes per week, 4 of which are targeted to those with MS.

    Benefits
  • Increase in Range of motion and balance
  • Loss of 60 – 90% of body weight while in the water, making it easier to
    exercise
  • The water temperature (82-84 degrees) has a natural cooling effect, which
    makes for an overall pleasant mental and physical experience

    There will be a $20.00 registration fee that will need to be sent to our offices and will be returned to you at the end of the 8 week course.
